Craig A. Nelson
Senior Vice President
Torrey Pines Bank

Craig is currently with Torrey Pines Bank, a San Diego based commercial bank serving small to medium sized businesses. Previously he served as Executive Vice President of First National Bank, part of a $5.5 Billion holding company based in Rancho Santa Fe, California.  Craig ran the commercial lending division through 14 offices from the Mexican Border to Temecula.

A 20 year veteran of banking and finance in San Diego he has seen our economy mature and diversify. Starting his career in corporate banking, Craig got the technology bug - eventually becoming Technology Practice Leader for MARSH and later founding the San Diego Technology & Life Sciences office of Comerica Bank.

The deflating of the dot.com bubble brought Craig back to commercial banking but his passion for technology remains. He serves on multiple technology award selection committees and served two terms as President of the San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum.

Outside of the office Craig serves as a member of the downtown Rotary, Chairs the Budget & Finance Commission for the City of Solana Beach and on the Boards of the American Lung Association, IAA, and San Diego State University Athletic Foundation. He also serves as a legal expert witness in banking and finance matters.

His hobbies include red wine and riding with the Tour de France, but not in that order.
