Richard J. Muscio CPA
Richard’s former CPA firm, now Friedman + Brannen LLP, was San Diego County’s first CPA firm to specialize in estate planning: specifically, the design and implementation of intra-family gifting programs for high-net worth families.
He has authored over 40 articles for local publications and has appeared on local television and radio programs as a guest speaker on estate planning.
Currently, Richard runs Indevia Accounting, an outsourced accounting services company with offices in Morgan Run and Mumbai, India.
Indevia Accounting utilizes Chartered Accountants in India to provide “real time” accounting and bookkeeping services in a cost-efficient manner to small and medium-sized businesses and non-profits. Indevia’s industry accounting specialties include: fast-food restaurant franchises, non-profits and independent schools, captive insurance companies, family offices and family office CFO support, and accounting for estates and trusts.
Richard is on the Board of Trustees for the Monterey Museum of Art. For fun he does long-distance endurance running, and plays tennis and baseball. He is also the founder of the Oceanside Turkey Trot, a Thanksgiving morning 5k running event that benefits Oceanside City Schools and their after-school running and fitness programs for elementary to high school students.
