Discovering Your LIfe Purpose

Life Purpose

I believe that we are all on this earth for a God-given life purpose. What is yours? Through my "life filter" as a follower of Jesus, I have come to believe that part of my life purpose is to raise $500 million for philanthropy. This will come through my wife's and my own modest foundation, but primarily through assisting clients create and pass wealth with little or no tax, to be used in part for giving back. That is part of my life purpose and life legacy - so far I know of over $50 million raised. If I am granted long life and the Lord should tarry in His return, we'll get there. And, how about you? Do you know what your "life purpose" is? Are you clear on what the legacy is you are leaving? Is that legacy the one you really wish to leave?

Determining A Life Legacy

So what will be your legacy? How will you impact others lives? Part of my legacy has become a desire to help others identify and then get excited about leaving a legacy that positively impacts their world. My desire is to be an encourager, mentor and example to others in how a tall, skinny, flawed Irish-Norwegian kid can still be used to leave his world better off than he found it.

What Will Be Our Legacy?

How will it make a difference on the planet that we existed? In other words ... what is to be our unique legacy, and will we pass that legacy on to others? How are our lives impacting others around us? Is it impacting them in a way that is purposeful and lasting? Or, is one of consumption and simply transitory? Will our lives be like sticking a fist in a bucket of water and removing it quickly - and the hole that remains is the legacy we will leave behind? Or, will our lives and what we stood for continue on in the lives of those we touch?
