Wealth & Legacy

Wealth & Legacy

We are a fortunate subset of the population. By luck and hard work we have accumulated a larger than average share of material goods. Many people have worked as hard as we have worked, but have far less to show for the effort.

Passing On our Wealth

We can pass on our wealth. With wisdom we can help those we care about as pass on the economic resources.

Passing On a Legacy

Legacy is not just for the wealthy. Scoundrels and criminals leave a legacy; it is not a legacy that we would choose. Legacy involves habits, ways, character, vision and world view. We are at time of life when we can make more deliberate choice about what to focus on for our remaining time.

Some people choose to try to spend all the resources before they die. What lesson does that teach to adult children and grandchildren? Is there any purpose greater than maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain for ourselves?
